1. Set a time for your routine
Although it is said that the most efficient hours for meditation are after waking up in the morning and before going to bed at night, you can set a time period that you are available according to your daily work. Programming yourself at the same time every day is crucial to making meditation a habit. If you are just starting to meditate, 10 minutes will be enough. When meditation takes its place among your daily routines, you can extend this period over time.
2. Create a comfortable meditation corner for yourself
It is necessary to concentrate while meditating. In order to increase your concentration, you need to be in a comfortable, quiet and safe place. Create a corner for yourself at home or at the time you set for meditation. After creating your meditation corner, determine the most comfortable posture / sitting position for yourself. Just like the clock principle, doing the meditation in the same place every day will help you create a routine. You can also listen to relaxing music that will help you focus during meditation.
3. Keep a meditation journal
Write down the meditation you do every day, what it feels to you, and your spiritual changes. Write down what you are focusing on, what you feel after each meditation practice and make an assessment. Thus, you can save your progress day by day and provide motivation for the next sessions. Remember, motivation is the basic thing you need to turn meditation into a routine.
