When clothes are put in the closet without washing or drying well after washing, they start to smell bad. Humidity in the house is also one of the causes of bad odors in the wardrobe. Here is some helpful information on how to get rid of this odor:
- If there is moisture in your house, you can use special pills. These pills absorb moisture and melt over time, removing moisture. You can buy moisturizing pills in the markets.
- Do not put washed clothes in the closet until they are completely dry.
- After ironing, clothes may remain damp due to steam. Therefore, after ironing, ventilate the clothes before folding and then place them in the wardrobe.
- Do not place your clothes immediately after cleaning the inside of the cabinet, wait for the inside to dry.
- Some detergents and emollients can retain unpleasant odors on clothes. Choose odorless detergents.
- Do not put dirty or sweaty clothes in the closet. Otherwise, the odors will permeate clean clothes.
- If you store shoes in the wardrobe, be sure to ventilate and place them after cleaning.
- Ventilate the cabinet regularly. If there is an odor inside, remove all clothing. Wipe the wardrobe by adding half a glass of vinegar to a bucket of water. Then rinse several times with clear water. You will be both germ-free and completely odor-free. Do not be afraid, the smell of vinegar is not lasting. As long as you rinse well and ventilate, the smell will not remain.
- You can buy bags of lavender to make a nice smell in the closet, or make your own at home. Put the lavender you buy in tulle, close your mouth and place it in the drawers of the wardrobe, between the clothes.
- If you do not like the smell of lavender, you can use any dried flower with a pleasant smell.
- Another way is to use emollients. Pour water and a small amount of softener into an empty spray bottle. From time to time you can spray this water on your clothes.
- When you put empty perfume bottles with the lids open in the wardrobe, a nice smell will spread.
- You can buy beautiful scented soaps and place them between your clothes. Grate the soap, place it between the tulle and close the mouth. You will notice that the smell is more lasting.
