It is necessary to use a limited amount of black, and only to darken the tone of bright colors, to soften the contrast. Black can be replaced with dark gray or dark brown.
The gray color can be different. Darker shades look matte, but light gray colors are good for painting the walls, because they have a beautiful background and bright curtains, furniture upholstery, paintings look good in their background. Gray goes well with light green, blue, raspberry and crimson.
Beige is also a beautiful foundation. It can be combined with brown, burgundy and green. When you have beige wallpaper or a face, you must have a pillow, a small carpet, a ceramic vase, bright things in the form of flowers.
You can start choosing the color scheme of the furniture with any item you have, for example, a sofa, armchairs, carpet or curtains covered with a good fabric that you do not want to change. In any color match, one of the colors should be preferred, ie this color will occupy the largest area. The predominant color usually gives the room the color of the walls. The colors of the furniture surface, curtains, carpet will add to the harmony, and finally, the third color, which connects the two primary colors, will play a supporting role. Auxiliary colors can be sofa cushions, vases, which connect each other.
Remember that all colors look different in daylight and different in artificial light. Therefore, when buying wallpaper, curtains, furniture surfaces, pay attention to how they look in the electric light. Check not only each color, but also its compatibility with other colors in daylight and in artificial light. If you need to add some bright tones to the color scheme, it is better to repeat it 2-3 times, on a few small things: as small spots in the pattern of pillows, vases, carpets, curtains.
Everyone has a favorite color. However, when choosing a color or matching colors, you can use the color you like only when it matches. For example, if you like the color purple or blue, but your room faces north, it is not recommended to paint its walls in that color.
