Changes in the aging process of the skin

Skin aging is one of the important problems of our age, especially for both women and men. Our largest organ, our skin, consists of 70% water, 25.5% protein, 2% oil, 0.5% Oligo Mineral Elements (calcium, magnesium, zinc and other ...) and 2% carbohydrates. Medical Aesthetic Physician Dr. Meltem Ayran explained the changes in our skin with age.

How our skin ages
First of all, aging is a versatile, multifactorial process. During the aging process, some structures deteriorate, change, some minerals, collagen, etc. in the body decrease, new cell formation slows down, repair slows down, destruction increases, circulation decreases. Aging is a multifactorial process.

Soft tissue changes; The firmness and flexibility of the skin decreases, a looser and less elastic structure is formed.

- Fatty tissue in our face changes; As we age, both the fat tissue in our face shrinks and shifts downward.

- As the muscles work, it causes deep wrinkles and folds in the skin.

- Bone structure is affected; As we age, bone volume gets smaller, soft tissue and skin sagging becomes easier.

One of the effective methods to eliminate the effects of aging is filling applications. There are more than 300 brands of fillers in the world, very few of them have FDA approval. Stating that he only uses FDA-approved fillers in his clinic, Dr. Ayran also underlined that situations that could adversely affect human health have increased, and that non-professional places have recently attracted attention and misled people thanks to social media.
