Ingilis dilində 16 zaman var. Bu gun biz İndiki zamandan bəhs edəcəyik. İndiki zaman bölünür:
Indiki sadə zaman (Present Simple Tense)

İndiki bitmiş zaman (Present Perfect)
İndiki birmiş davamedici zaman (Present Perfect Continuous)
İndiki Sadə Zaman-Present Simple
İndiki sadə zaman gündəlik həyatımızda,tez tez və ümumiyyətlə baş verən hərəkətlərə aiddir. Daha konkret bu hallarda işlənir:
1.Gündəlik həyatda baş verən hərəkətlər (məs: məktəbə getmək, işə getmək və s)
Ex: My work starts at 9:00.
2. Adət halını almış hərəkətlər (Yatmazdan əvvəl süd içmək, hər səhər qaçmaq və s)
I drink a cup of coffee every morning.
3. Təbiət hadisələri (qişda qar yağır, yer öz oxu ətrafında fırlanır və s)
Water boils at hundred degrees Celsius.
Düzəldilməsi:
Subject+verb +s(es)+object (Mubteda+xeber+s(es)+tamamlıq)

İndiki zaman fellərə -s, -es şəkilçisi artırılmaqla və ya tam şəkilçisiz düzəlir. Aşağıdakı cədvəldə baxaq:

Qeyd: -es şəkilçisi -s / -sh / -ch ilə bitən sözlərin sonuna əlavə olunur: pass —> passes, finish —> finishes, watch —> watches.
-y hərfi ilə bitən sözlərdə bu hərf atılır və indiki zaman şəkilçisi -ies formasında əlavə olunur: study —> studies, try —> tries.
Bəzi sözlər var ki, onlarla istisna hal kimi -es şəkilçisi işlənir: do —> does, go —> goes.
Aşağıdakı zaman zərfləri indiki zamanı səciyyələndirir:
always / never /often / sometimes / usually və s.
Structure: Mubteda+zaman zerflikleri+xeber+tamamliq
Aygun always arrives at work early. (Sue arrives always -- yox)
I usually go to school by car but sometimes I walk. (I go usually -- yox)
Anar never eats chocolate.

İndiki zamanın sual və inkar forması
İndiki zamanın inkar formasın düzəltmək üçün don't / doesn't köməkçi fellərindən istifadə olunur. -s/-es şəkilçisi əlavə olunmuş fellərin inkar forması doesn't ilə, digər fellərdə isə don't ilə düzəlir.
I drink coffee but I don't drink tea.
Sue drinks tea but she doesn't drink coffee.
You don't work very hard.
We don't watch television very often.
The weather is usually nice. It doesn't rain very often.
Gerry and Linda don't know many people.
Qeyd: don't / doesn't köməkçi fellərindən sonra gələn fel başlanğıc formada olur.
İndiki zamanın sual formasın düzəltmək üçün do/does köməkçi felləri cümlənin əvvəlində gəlir, daha sonra cümlənin mübtədası gəlir, sonra başlanğıc formada olan fel və daha sonra cümlənin diger üzvləri işlənir. -s/-es şəkilçisi əlavə olunmuş fellərin sual forması does ilə, digər fellərdə isə do ilə düzəlir.
